1. Most water in the Greater Dublin Region is supplied by the River Liffey, the River Dodder and the River Vartry.
2. All the water comes from either rain, hail or snow.
3. Some rainfall will evaporate soon after it falls, while the rest will either join streams and rivers, or will seep through the ground to join underground water supplies.
